THE ROARING 20's- We will be learning about the important political, historical, and social events that happened in the 1920's. This decade is called the roaring 20's because it was a time of hope and change. The roaring 20's gave us jazz music, Mickey Mouse, bubble gum, and much more. Join us as we go on a trip back in time to the 1920's.

Literature Workshop

Students will read together and discuss two short books. The first book is Holes by Louis Sachar. This is the story of a boy named Stanley who believes his family is cursed. Stanley is unjustly sent to a detention camp for boys where a mystery evolves. The second book we will read is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. This is a fantasy story of 4 children who travel through a wardrobe into a whole new world. Students will be required to borrow or buy each book so they can follow along with the audio recording. If time allows, we will watch the movie associated with each story. This class will be limited to 15 students. Due to limited size look for final confirmation.
