Trevor’s Poetry
Mixed Emotions
Walking among the flowers,
A windmill gives a gentle breeze.
Birds are chirping.
The wind is calm.
Sun shines brightly
warming my skin like a happy day.
Tulips of many colors stretch before me.
Vibrant red, orange, and yellow.
The stillness of white.
The sadness of purple.
Mixed emotions as I gaze at this scene.
Feelings of joy and sadness
at the same time.
I think of a loved one
who has passed away.
Teal
I see the ocean
I hear the seagulls flying overhead
The sand feels smooth and warm under my feet
I taste a fruity refresher
I feel both relaxed and motivated
when I think of the color teal.
Music
Music
calms the mind.
Keeps anxiety down.
Focuses me on the positive
I breathe peacefully,
closing my eyes,
thinking of beautiful landscapes
and my favorite places.
A Great Place to Be
Noorthoek Academy is a great place to be.
A place for education,
A place to call home,
A place for friendships to form.
A place to be challenged.
I am proud to be living my dream
as a GRCC Raider.
Living in Gratitude
Living in gratitude is where I want to be.
Noticing the little things.
Searching for good even in times of hardship.
Feeling grateful for challenges
and the ability to rise above them.
Grateful living.
