Jake’s Poetry

A Calm Place

Calm and peaceful music.
Soft and loud crescendo
with a nice and easy rhythm.
Flutes, guitar, and drums
help me cope with stress.
Visualizing a picture
that takes me somewhere else.
A calm place
where I have no worries.

Randy and Bernice

Special friends
that bring joy to my life,
crowning me King on New Years Eve.
We enjoy the little things like
campfires and Cornhole.
Racing our boats across the lake
is exhilarating

Words are Powerful

I remember a time
when words were powerful.
My speech delay meant
that my words were not understood.
I had so much to say.
At 4 years old, I learned to say sentences.
By 7 years of age, I put sentences together.
I am thankful for speech therapy
helping me to express all of my words.
My words are very detailed.
Words are powerful.

Golfing

Traveling up north
to Gaylord,
at the Garland Resort,
my family at my side.
Family and golf,
my beautiful life.
