A Pool Day
When I close my eyes,
I see blue water.
People splashing.
The smell of chlorine.
My feet feel clammy,
when I dip them in the pool.
Blue tastes like raspberries.
I feel cool.
Surrounded by Nature
I sit on the grass
looking at the clouds in the sky.
The sounds of birds chirping,
A train whistling,
and children playing
surround me.
Reaching out, I touch a leaf.
The vein and stem feels moist.
Sometimes brittle
depending on the season.
Flowers bloom.
A deep breath fills my lungs
calming my mind
in times of stress.
